Men on Wine is a new group for wine lovers interested in learning more about this drink (and food pairings) with other gay and bi men in the greater Palm Springs area.
So how did this idea come about?
My name is Patrick, and as founder of this group, I recently moved out full-time to Palm Springs from L.A. When I lived in San Diego during my mid-20s, I joined a group called Men on Wine for a few years and learned a lot about wines, as well as made some really good friends.
It was also a great education, and continues to help me choose the right varietal for when out with friends for dinner, or even to bring to someone’s house party. It was one of the things I missed when I moved from San Diego, so I thought I’d try to re-create something similar here in Palm Springs.
Back then we did things the old school way, but with social media, email and PayPal, starting a local group here in Palm Springs is even easier.
